Boston-based marketing software firm HubSpot is set to open its European headquarters in Dublin next January and the company is aiming to create 150 new jobs by the end of 2015.
HubSpot has announced the January 2013 opening of the Dublin office to support its growing international business segment. HubSpot’s Dublin base will be its first-ever branch office and will spell the creation of 150 new jobs. It will oversee all of the company’s international operations, supporting more than 600 customers and 100 value-added resellers.
Market growth
HubSpot serves nearly 8,000 customers in 56 countries with 30pc of inbound sales leads originating outside the US. The company said its international business is already growing 200pc per year, while it is also projecting that 20pc of its revenue will come from its global market within the next three years.
““The market for our software outside the US is several times the size our domestic market,” said JD Sherman, chief operating officer at HubSpot.
“There are about 600,000 US marketers, but millions more worldwide. We’re providing these marketers the right tools to get more traffic, leads, and better return on investment via inbound marketing campaigns that people truly love. Opening this office will scale that up significantly, providing an exhilarating opportunity for the talented folks who join HubSpot Dublin.”
To fill the roles for its Dublin office, HubSpot said it would be hiring “aggressively” in sales, marketing, account management, and support. It is anticipating that it will have taken on 150 full-time local hires by the end of 2015.
The company has set up a dedicated site that has details of its initial jobs for Dublin.
“We’re looking to hire the best marketing and sales talent in Dublin to help us ‘rewrite the book’ on how to market in Europe,” said Brian Halligan, CEO and co-founder of HubSpot.
