Multi gigabit broadband is going to be made available across Ireland as part of a €1.5m investment by fibre and wireless communications player AirSpeed Telecom.
As part of the rollout, AirSpeed has struck a deal with forestry organisation Coillte to deliver 10GB broadband connectivity from Coillte’s fibre-enabled tower on Three Rock Mountain.
“Our customers are increasingly looking for scalability and resilient connectivity and because we aren’t a single technology provider – we use fibre, DSL and radio – we can deliver customers technology resilience without them needing to use a separate carrier,” said Liam O’Kelly, managing director of AirSpeed.
“This €1.5 million investment underpins our commitment to our customer base and also helps us deliver strong Service Level Agreements.”
AirSpeed employs 47 people in Dublin, Cork and Belfast and serves organisations like RTE, TG4, Dairygold, Irish Distillers and JAM Media.
