IT solutions company Kainos is following the creation of 82 jobs in Belfast in October with the creation of 60 jobs in Derry as part of a stg£10m investment supported by Invest Northern Ireland.
The new jobs are expected to include a technical architect, support engineers, software engineers and client services manager positions, the Belfast Telegraph reported.
Kainos now employs more than 300 staff at offices in Belfast, Dublin, London and Gdansk, Poland.
Kainos provides IT consultancy services to various industries, including the public sector and financial services firms.
“This is an ambitious investment by Kainos which aims to double its revenue over the next few years and further extend its market reach into mainland Europe and the USA,” The Derry Journal reported Enterprise Minister Arlene Foster as saying.
“The company has built its success on innovation and through this new R&D project will further develop its solutions and services to ensure it maintains its lead in the area of electronic medical records management in the health sector.
“ICT is a key sector for Northern Ireland as it is helping to push economic activity up the value chain.”
